Rover is a silver United States moon rover that Putt-Putt meets when he travels to the moon in Putt-Putt Goes to the Moon.
Putt-Putt Goes to the Moon
Years ago, Rover was left behind by Apollo astronauts upon completing a moon mission, and has since longed to return back to Earth. Putt-Putt first encounters Rover when he gets stuck in the moon goo and honks for help. After getting Putt-Putt out, fixing the bridge, and telling his story, Rover gives Putt-Putt a picture that the astronauts left him as he just wants to go home and nothing more.
Rover then goes to show Putt-Putt the would-be rocket that can take them home, but some parts are missing, so Putt-Putt and Rover decide to find the missing items to the rocket. After Rover and Putt-Putt work together to get the steering wheel (with some additional help from Pep), Rover leaves to pack up. Once Putt-Putt gets all the items needed to build the rocket, he and Rover pay for the rocket and get the rocket ready for departure. After returning to Cartown, Putt-Putt introduces Rover to everyone and they all leave to celebrate.
Putt-Putt Enters the Race
Rover makes his second appearance in Putt-Putt Enters the Race, where he has converted the rocket that he and Putt-Putt used to return home into an ice cream/soda stand. There, as thanks for the help on the moon, Rover gives Putt-Putt anything there for free. The same happens in Putt-Putt: Pep's Birthday Surprise.
