Mr. Firebird is a red Pontiac Firebird (most likely a second generation model) featured in the Putt-Putt series. He is a scientist whose inventions often backfire and become dangerous to others.

In Putt-Putt Goes to the Moon, he creates a fireworks factory and invites Putt-Putt. All goes well until a butterfly sits on a lever that is next to a "Do Not Touch" sign, and Pep tries to pounce on it, prompting a rocket release, launching Putt-Putt and Pep to the moon in outer space.

It is shown that his favorite additive to his fireworks creation is the squiggly worms.

In Putt-Putt Travels Through Time, Mr. Firebird creates a time portal which isn't meant for travelling into the past or future, but rather just for looking at various points in time. Besides that, Putt-Putt wants to show his new school supplies and history report to Mr. Firebird. When Mr. Firebird activates the Time Portal (via a nickel that Putt-Putt gives him), the machine malfunctions, opens up, and sucks Putt-Putt's objects in. As Pep tries to save one of the items, he is sucked into the vortex of time as well. Putt-Putt is desperate to rescue his pet and the items he needs and Mr. Firebird states he won't be able to close the portal until Putt-Putt's items are returned to the present. Once Putt-Putt retrives his things and Pep, Mr. Firebird closes the portal and locks it up to prevent another disaster from happening. As Putt-Putt needs to get to school, he promises to show his history report and school supplies to Mr. Firebird later.
