Mama Mombassa is the mother of Baby Jambo the elephant. Her name comes from Mombasa, a city in Kenya. Coincidentally, there is also a large elephant population in Kenya. She and Baby Jambo also later appear in Putt-Putt Joins the Circus.
Appearance[]
Mama Mombassa is a female elephant. Like most elephants, her skin is gray and tough. She is seen in the closing overview shot of the Cartown Zoo but her skin is silver with small dot eyes. After joining the circus, she wears a large yellow and pink cape and headdress.
Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo[]
Mama Mombassa appears in the area section to the left right before the dam in Grasslands. She, like all the other parents of the missing baby animals, is sad and depressed due to her son being missing. After Putt-Putt saves Baby Jambo from the giant scary mouse by feeding him with cheese squigglies, Mama Mombassa is shown with Baby Jambo and is happy to be reunited with her son.
Putt-Putt Joins the Circus[]
Mama Mombassa is seen sleeping on the net of the Flying Porkowskis. Putt-Putt needs to get a bag of peanuts from Bart to wake her up and then he can take the net.
Trivia[]
- The music that plays when talking to Mama Mombassa before rescuing Baby Jambo also plays in Putt-Putt: Pep's Birthday Surprise, although it was shortened.
