Grandma Grouper is a character in the Freddi Fish series. She is Freddi's sweet, loving and caring grandmother, who appeared as a major character in Freddi Fish and the Case of the Missing Kelp Seeds and a minor character in Freddi Fish 5: The Case of the Creature of Coral Cove. She also appeared in Freddi Fish 3: The Case of the Stolen Conch Shell as a model for a fortune-telling device. It is unknown whether or not she is Freddi's maternal or paternal grandmother.
Personality[]
Grandma Grouper is cheery, loving sort of fish, who is always thinking of Freddi and Luther whenever they go on one of their sleuthing trips. She is considerate and always make sure they are well off before they leave.
Freddi Fish and the Case of the Missing Kelp Seeds[]
At the start of the game, Freddi gives Grandma Grouper a flower as she delivers flowers to people close to her. Grandma Grouper reveals bad news: her treasure chest of kelp seeds has been stolen and what's worse is that her garden is dying away. Without the seeds, she can't plant more kelp for the various fish of the sea, so Freddi assures her that she will find the chest and return it to her. Grandma Grouper is overjoyed to hear this and gives Freddi her last Peanut Butter and Jellyfish Sandwich before going back inside her house.
After Freddi and Luther find Grandma Grouper's chest and return it to her, she is overjoyed that the duo found it. Freddi, as the final touch, uses the seeds to plant new kelp for Grandma Grouper's garden. Before the credits roll, the three then go inside with the chest so that Freddi and Luther can tell Grandma Grouper how they found the treasure chest.
Freddi Fish 3: The Case of the Stolen Conch Shell[]
Grandma Grouper appears in a cameo as a Grandma Grouper Fortune Telling Machine at Gill Barker's carnival funhouse. Her garden is also mentioned when Freddi talks about the kelp vines blocking the entrance to Gill Barker's carnival Tumble Tube funhouse.
Freddi Fish 5: The Case of the Creature of Coral Cove[]
Grandma Grouper only appears at the intro when Freddi and Luther stop by, explaining that they don't have much time to visit with her, as they are on their way to Coral Cove Park. She then pats their heads with her fin and tells them to have fun and be safe.
