The Gourd Guards are two anthropomorphic yams that guard the Astronomy Tower, aka Gourds' House. They only allow gourds to access this location. They only make a brief appearance in Pajama Sam 3: You Are What You Eat From Your Head To Your Feet. Their names are Pierce and Taylor.

These guys serve as guardians to the astronomy tower. They will only allow gourds to access this location. To enter, Sam must wear a pumpkin (used as a hat) in order to get past them. If Sam tries to get past them without the pumpkin, they will prevent Sam from entering. If Sam tries to get past them with the pumpkin, they will allow Sam to enter.
