Masai is a lost baby giraffe seen in Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo. She is the daughter of Mrs. Giraffe and one of the six missing baby animals that Putt-Putt must find before the Cartown Zoo can open. Her name comes from the the giraffe subspecies the Masai giraffe and the Masai people, a group of indigenous people who live in Kenya.

History[]

During her exploration of Jungle Land, Masai gets stuck behind a drawbridge. The cave behind her is too small to enter and there is a heavy rock preventing the drawbridge from closing. After meeting Putt-Putt, the two of them are able to push the rock out of the way so that the drawbridge can close. Putt-Putt almost falls into the water, but Masai pulls him up. After Putt-Putt brings the drawbridge down from the other side, Masai will return to the Grasslands and reunite with her mother.

Appearance[]

Masai is a baby giraffe. Like most giraffes, her fur is a sandy color and she has light brown spots. Her ossicones (horns) are small, showing her age. Masai is also one of the baby animals in the closing overshot of the Cartown Zoo, as she is drinking water while her mother watches her.

Trivia[]
