The Junior Sports series debuted in 1997 with the release of Backyard Baseball. Three games were released under the Junior Sports moniker; the line was subsequently rebranded as Humongous Sports in 2000 with the release of Backyard Baseball 2001, then Backyard Sports with the release of Backyard Football 2002 in 2001.
