The Cartown 500 (or Cartown Grand Prix in the UK dub) is a mini-game in Putt-Putt Enters the Race.
Summary[]
Once you've got all of the five key items, you'll automatically head back to the Cartown Speedway/Circuit and just in time too. The Cartown 500/Grand Prix race is about to start the second you found the last key item. So gear on up at the pit garage and Putt-Putt be transformed into a race car. After that, get ready to race. There are two different endings to the race, the Best Ending you can get is if you complete the Cartown 500/Grand Prix race in first place within five laps otherwise you'll get the normal ending. Use the mouse to move Putt-Putt on race track while avoiding hazards (such as ducks, oil, and other racers). After five laps, the race will end. If you feel like you need to race again for the best ending, click YES to do or click NO to proceed to the ending.

This is it. This is where it all comes together. Move Putt-Putt around the race track using your mouse while avoiding oil and ducks. Try to aim for first place and get the best ending.

To enter the Cartown 500, Putt-Putt needs the following items:
- Gas Can of Extra High-Powered High-Octane Gasoline
- Race Helmet for Pep
- Race Tires
- Racing Flag with a specific number on it (changes in each playthrough)
