The angler fish lives at the bottom of the deep canyon. He is only important in the Deep Canyon storyline.
In the Deep Canyon storyline, the message bottle falls into the home of the angler fish after Luther attempts and fails to get the bottle from the canyon. As the angler will growl angrily at any intruder coming into his home, Freddi Fish and Luther will need the fishing pole from Fiddler Crab in order to get the bottle without getting too close to the angler fish.

In this arcade game, the angler fish is one of many enemies the player will run into. It is the first enemy Freddi encounters. It can only move left and right but it is very fast if it notices Freddi.
